Hello dear imaginary reader.
It's been almost a year again. I expect Blogger probably has no actual readers now. It's just imaginary me and imaginary you floating around in a corner of cyberspace pretty much ignoring each other. Or maybe we are friends and we meet for virtual coffee regularly and chat about what's been going on in the last year.
I am real however, not virtual, but I can't actually prove that.
Indeed.
Shall we talk about cheese?
Cheese is good. For some reason when I type that I end up typing "food" instead of "good" which makes out I'm at toddler level of observations.
But it is true to say that cheese is good. All cheese, except Wensleydale. Wensleydale tastes wrong and it is often riddled with fruit. Fruit has its place and that place is not in cheese. Nor is it on my pizza, which is a fruit free place. There's so many things you can put on a pizza and there is no need to forfeit any of them and then replace it with fruit.
Cheese of the day is...
Cheddar. Oft overlooked and damned good.
So that's all. I had a gazillion good things to write in a blog yet when I got here it had all gone to sleep. I'll see if it wants to come and be shared another day. Maybe next year.

Cheesy tip
The greatest cheese on earth has been discovered. It was previously believed to be, a still strong runner up, creamy gorgonzola, but this new entrant is the true holder of the title.
I give you:
Couer de Lion, Pié d' Angloys.
Which I am informed, and my French confirms (ish) means "feet of the English".
Heaven in a circular box.
It tells me on said circular box:
"Created by Cistercian Monks in the 14th century, Pié d'Angloys is an important part of French gastronomic tradition. Creamy and full bodied with a hint of honey, this unique cheese is a great addition to a cheeseboard or simply served with crusty bread"
Yum. In actual fact it tastes like a most palatable marriage of Brie and Dairylea. Yumptious.
Unlike most champion cheeses, this is not expensive and is available in the supermarket. Huzzah for magnificent cheeses and the discovery thereof!!

brainbreak
I had something I wanted to blog about but I got distracted on the way here and so forgot completely what it was.
Never mind, there is always later.
Clearly I need to share the distractions.
First, this is from Andrew Collins' blog, so if you've been there already, this is repetition . I think this is brilliantly done, it's really impressive. Much kudos to Nathan Jay.
In my esteemed estimation, a gentleman of a certain age with a desire for a pink digital watch is most definitely gay. Or, fauxmosexual in an attempt to impress the ladies. Deeply suspicious anyway.
It occurred to me sometime earlier that Christmas is one month today. I have done nothing towards Christmas except buy the kids' presents, and I'm a bit skint. Problemo. So I'm off to buy some stuff to bake some Christmas presents. I may have lost my last remaining friends by New Year.
